No Joy For Fletch

Darren Fletcher will not play in the Champions League Final. UEFA's control and disciplinary committee rejected our appeal to get Fletcher back in the Final squad. Bad news for Fletcher who has been praised for his great preformances lately.

While we obviously find this as a bad thing there was also positive news for us regarding
Barcelona's protests over defenders Eric Abidal and Daniel Alves were also rejected by UEFA's control and disciplinary committee on Monday, and those players too will miss the final in Rome on May 27.

Unlucky Fletch lad but if I'm being honest I think this news will hurt Barca more then us. Chances are Fletch wouldn't start in Rome as I think Carrick/Anderson and Scholsey will start. But on the other hand Abidal and Alves would 100% of started if they could play so it could really turn out to hurt Barca as there defence isn't very strong even when it's at 100%.

I think that our starting line up in Rome will be as follows,

Van Der Sar
O' Shea, Vidic, Ferdinand, Evra
Ronaldo, Carrick, Scholes, Park
Rooney, Tevez
